OVERVIEW

The IMF has achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 20121 Certification for Sustainable Events for the Spring and Annual Meetings that are held on the Fund’s Washington campus. The ISO 20121 is the internationally recognized standard that looks specifically at the sustainability aspects of events. It covers environmental, social, and economic issues, including resource utilization and conservation, choice of materials, supply chains, emissions reduction, accessibility, equity, and impact on the local economy. It also requires organizers to show how they consider sustainable development issues when choosing suppliers/vendors.

Join us for the certification event with Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the IMF, and Tim Wren, Director at BSI. The event will be followed by a networking reception.
