Richard Quest

 

Richard Quest is CNN's international business correspondent and  anchor of Quest Means Business (QMB). QMB, which airs on CNN International. Guests of the show included world leaders, bankers, ministers of finance, leaders of the IMF/World Bank and influential names in corporate America. Quest has regularly reported from G20 meetings and attends the WEF each year. Prior to joining CNN, he worked at the BBC, where he was the North America business correspondent, based on Wall Street for 12 years. Quest is British, holds an LLB degree in Law from Leeds University.

Kristalina Georgieva

Kristalina Georgieva is the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She is the first person from an emerging market economy to lead the IMF since its inception in 1944. Before joining the Fund, Ms. Georgieva was Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank and also served as Interim President for a time. Previously, she served at the European Commission as Vice President for Budget and Human Resources – and as Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response. She was named “European of the Year” and “Commissioner of the Year” by European Voice for her leadership in the European Union’s humanitarian response to crises.

Zainab Ahmed

 

Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed is Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning. Ahmed has previously served as the Chief Finance Officer of the Nigeria mobile telecommunications company, and as National Coordinator of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative. In 2020, the African Banker Awards recognized her as Finance Minister of the Year. Mrs. Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master's in Business Administration from Ogun State University in Nigeria.

Mark Carney

 

Mark Carney is a Canadian economist and banker who served as the Governor of the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020, and prior to that as Governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 until 2013. He was Chairman of the Financial Stability Board from 2011 to 2018. Since October 2020, he is vice chairman and head of Impact Investing at Brookfield Asset Management. He is currently the United Nations Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance.  Mr. Carney holds doctorate and master’s degrees from Oxford University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University.

Paschal Donohoe

 

Paschal Donohoe is the Minister for Finance of Ireland, and the President of the Eurogroup since July 2020. He held several briefs in the Irish Government and in February 2011, he was elected to the Irish Parliament, representing the constituency of Dublin Central. Before that and from 2007 to 2011, he was a member of the Irish Senate. From 2004 to 2007, he served as member of Dublin City Council, while he was formerly the Chair of Ireland’s

Mohamed El-Erian

 

Mohamed A. El-Erian  is the President of Queens’ College at Cambridge University, the Renee Kerns Professor of Practice at the Wharton Business School, and advisor to Allianz and Gramercy Funds Management. He serves on the boards of Barclays, the NBER, and Under Armour among others. Earlier in his career, Mohamed worked for 15 years at the IMF before moving to PIMCO where he served as Chief Executive and co-Chief Investment Officer. He is a Bloomberg columnist and FT contributing editor. Mohamed obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge and his masters and doctorate, also in economics, at Oxford University.
