IMF Connect

Q: What is the difference between IMF.org and IMFConnect.org?

A: IMF.org is the public site of the IMF. IMFConnect.org shares dedicated information to the IMF Membership as well as exclusive Annual/Spring meetings material. Both IMF.org and IMFConnect.org provide the schedule, videos and pictures of the Annual/Spring Meetings. However, IMFConnect has additional information that is not offered on IMF.org (i.e. Participant Directory). IMFConnect also provides features such as Messages, Events you may be Interested, or People Sharing Interests, to enhance your experience during your visit. You can also subscribe to the events on the IMFConnect Calendar page, so you can get updates of the events you are interested in.

Q: Is there an app for IMFConnect?

A: There is no mobile application for the IMFConnect website. However, as a responsive website, it can be accessed from any electronic device with internet access (personal computer or mobile device) without affecting the user experience. Most of the Internet browsers are supported, including: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Safari, among others.

Q: Why don’t you have an app?

A: We are convinced that we can deliver all the information and services we could offer from IMFConnect.org, without affecting the user experience. This approach also has different benefits to the participants. For example, it can be accessed from practically any device (regardless if its Apple, Android, or something else). In addition, you don’t need to download or update anything.

Q: Do I need to sign up to access IMFConnect?

A: Any person can access IMFConnect.org. However, there is content and information only available to registered users. This includes Event Pages, Participant Directory, Participant Guide, among others.

  • Open the e-mail and click the link to create a new password.
  • Choose your new password.

  • Click the link to sign in (the image or “Already a member? Sign in to view full content”)
  • Click the link to reset your password.
  • Enter your e-mail address and wait for the mail. The mail is generated automatically.

Open the e-mail and click the link to reset your password. The link works only once, once you click it, you need to set a new password. If you couldn’t complete the process, you can always generate a new link (go to step d). Make sure that you always use the link from the most recent e-mail.

  • Create your new password.
  • Sign-in using your new password.

Q: I forgot my user name; how can I access IMFConnect?

A: Try using “reset password” with the e-mail addresses you think may be registered. If an e-mail is not registered, you will receive a “user not registered” mail. If your user is registered, follow the steps to reset your password. If you receive a “user not registered” mail in all your accounts, this means that you are not registered, and therefore need to sign up to IMFConnect.

Q: Can I stay logged in the website?

A: If you remain inactive, you will be logged out after some time.

Q: Where can I find the dates for the upcoming meetings?

A: Future Meetings dates can be found in the Future Meetings Dates page.

Q: Does subscription to IMF Connect guarantees access to the Annual Meetings?

A: Registering for the Annual Meetings and for the IMF Connect website are two different process. After registering for the Annual Meetings, you will be invited to register for the IMF Connect website if you don’t have an account. Then you will be validated and receive a confirmation letter that will allow to participate in the Annual Meeting. Registering only for the IMF Connect website, gives you access to the site but it’s not part of the Annual Meetings registration process and does provide access to the Annual Meetings.

Q: Why I can’t see myself in the Participants Directory?

A: In the registration form (Annual Meetings) there is a checkbox that you must have left checked that removes you from being part of the Participant Directory. If you would like to go back to the Participants Directory, a request must be done to the IMF Connect Team.
