OVERVIEW
As the Bretton Woods Institutions meet to discuss the need to evolve in order to face modern global challenges, the Bretton Woods Committee will look at impediments facing the international financial system and potential solutions to ensure its resilience. Modern issues such as climate change and emerging technology are placed against the backdrop of increasing fragmentation, higher-for-longer interest rates, and exacerbating large debt burdens. BWC will gather policymakers, private sector leaders, and multilateral leadership to address these challenges and discuss how the institutions must continue to evolve to effectively lead the global architecture and shepherd the global economy to harness the next 80 years of global growth.
