Safeguarding economic integrity is foundational to the IMF’s mission of promoting economic growth and stability. Building on the support provided to member states, the IMF is launching a new vehicle--the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Corruption Thematic Fund (AMLAC)—a unified capacity development platform to support member countries in tackling money laundering, terrorism financing, illicit financial flows, and corruption—key vulnerabilities with macro-critical implications. AMLAC will prioritize support to fragile, low-income, and high-risk jurisdictions, while maintaining flexibility to respond to emerging needs across all regions. Its design allows for both country-specific engagements and regional or thematic initiatives to address shared vulnerabilities and emerging risks.
