Registration

Registration for the 2026 Annual Meetings is now OPEN!

Attendance to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG) Annual Meetings is by invitation only. All participants must be accredited in advance of the Meetings.

To facilitate accreditation and registration, the participants are divided into different categories, described below. Please determine your registration category and submit your registration request accordingly as timelines vary by category.

Participants are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid processing delays.

Review our Guide for Participants for logistical information.

On-site Registration

Participants seeking access to the Annual Meetings venues, especially on the dates when the security perimeter is established around the Meetings campus, must be accredited in advance of the 2026 Annual Meetings. Participants are required to carry their passports or other means of photographic identification. As Meetings badges should bear the most recent photograph, participants must present themselves to be photographed and obtain their individual identification badges.

Meetings badges are personal and non‑transferable. Participants are responsible for the appropriate use of their credentials and should not share them with others or post images of their badge publicly (including on social media).

Facilities for on-site accreditation are very limited and on-site accreditation is not guaranteed. Please plan your attendance at the Annual Meetings events in advance.

Further information about on-site registration may be provided closer to the Meetings dates.

Delegates

Delegates are governmental officials of the member countries of the IMF and the WBG. Delegates are registered through the IMF and WBG Offices of Executive Directors (OED).

The clearance process can take up to two weeks. Once your registration has been approved and confirmed (you will receive a separate email titled “Registration Confirmation”), please reach out to the corresponding Office of Executive Directors to confirm where and when you may pick up your meetings badge at the venue.

Guests

Guest registration is now OPEN

Please email IMFGuests@imf.org with any inquiries.

Guests are representatives of government bodies, private sector or academia.

All Guests are subject to clearance. Because the clearance process may take up to two weeks, Guests are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Guest accreditation is not transferrable.

Who may apply as a Guest?

1.  Parliamentarians and Senators are now registered by the WBG. Please refer to the CSO page for more details.

2.  Private Sector: Representatives from financial institutions and banks, commercial enterprises, consulting, and contractor firms who have professional interest in the operations and affairs of the IMF and the WBG.

3.  Academia: University professors, researchers, and faculty members who have professional and educational interest in the operations and affairs of the IMF and the WBG.

4.  For students interested in attending, an endorsement letter is required from the Head of Department or Vice Chancellor of the University confirming status in the University and stating academic interest (Note: Supporting documentation should be submitted with the online application).

IMF Guest or WBG Guest?

Applicants are requested to choose whether they are to be listed as IMF Guests or WBG Guests, based on their focus during the Annual Meetings. The choice of the Fund or the Bank will not preclude access to venues and events at the other institution. Therefore, except for restricted events, all IMF and WBG Guests will have access to both Bank and Fund venues. (Note: Submitting Guest registration requests to both institutions will substantially delay the processing of your application).
