80 Years of Global Engagement
80 years ago, delegates gathered in Washington for the first Annual Meetings. This October, you return to Bangkok once again after 35 years, to commemorate the anniversary of the Meetings. Visit The Annual Meetings: 80 Years of Global Engagement, a joint IMF–World Bank exhibit located at the first floor where this story is told through archival photographs, words spoken from the podium, and the cities around the world that hosted the Annual Meetings. Expect to discover few a surprises along the way: delegations crossing the Atlantic by ocean liner, fashion shows and more.
Visions of Thailand
To mark the IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Bangkok, the IMF invited emerging photojournalists and visual storytellers resident in Thailand to submit work on the theme ‘Thailand 2026: A Vibrant and Resilient Economic Future.’ The project sought ideas that showcase Thailand’s achievements and dynamism on the global stage, while honoring the richness of Thai culture and everyday life, highlighting how tradition and modernity can thrive side by side.
