Managing Director, IMF

Kristalina Georgieva is the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She is the first person from an emerging market economy to lead the IMF since its inception in 1944. Before joining the Fund, Ms. Georgieva was Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank and also served as Interim President for a time. Previously, she served at the European Commission as Vice President for Budget and Human Resources – and as Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response. She was named “European of the Year” and “Commissioner of the Year” by European Voice for her leadership in the European Union’s humanitarian response to crises.

 President of the Eurogroup, Minister of Economy and Finance, Greece

Kyriakos Pierrakakis is the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Hellenic Republic since March 2025. In December 2025, he was elected President of the Eurogroup, becoming the first Greek Μinister to lead the eurozone's top economic body. From 2023–2025, he served as Minister of Education, leading digital innovation and legislative reforms for university autonomy. Previously, as Minister of Digital Governance (2019–2023), he spearheaded Greece's digital transformation, launching gov.gr and flagship apps including Gov.gr Wallet and MyHealth. He holds an MSc in Technology and Policy from MIT, an MPP from Harvard's Kennedy School, and a BSc in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business. Born in 1983 in Athens, he is fluent in English and French.

Professor of Economics, Lee Kuan Yew School

Danny Quah is Li Ka Shing Professor in Economics at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. His research focuses on international economic relations, economic growth and development, income inequality, and social mobility. His current work examines the practice of economic statecraft, the future of multilateral cooperation, and the effects of weakening multilateralism on growth and opportunity

Before joining NUS, Quah was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and later served at the London School of Economics (LSE) as Professor of Economics and International Development, Director of the Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre, and Head of the Economics Department. He served as Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School from 2018 to 2025. Quah studied at Princeton, Minnesota, and Harvard.

Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of the Dangote Group

Aliko Dangote is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of the Dangote Group, Africa’s largest industrial conglomerate, with operations spanning cement, fertilizer, sugar, petrochemicals, energy, and manufacturing. Widely regarded as one of Africa’s leading business figures, he has played a pivotal role in advancing industrialization, economic development, and regional trade across the continent. Since founding the company in 1981, he has transformed it from a trading enterprise into a diversified multinational corporation operating in numerous African countries. His landmark investments, including the Dangote Refinery and fertilizer complex, have strengthened Africa’s industrial capacity and energy security. Through the Aliko Dangote Foundation, he supports initiatives in health, education, humanitarian relief, and poverty alleviation, contributing to sustainable development across Africa.

Lisa Abramowicz co-hosts “Bloomberg Surveillance” from 6 to 9 a.m. on Bloomberg Television and Bloomberg Radio. She previously co-hosted “Bloomberg Markets” from 10 a.m. to noon EST on Bloomberg Radio and was a member of Bloomberg Television’s on-air markets desk. She also served as a columnist and reporter at Bloomberg focusing on fixed-income markets. Abramowicz graduated from the University of Chicago.
