Welcome to METAC

The Middle East Regional Technical Assistance Center (METAC) was established in October 2004 as a collaborative venture between the International Monetary Fund (IMF), member countries/territories, and bilateral and multilateral development partners. The Center’s strategic goal is to assist its 14 member countries strengthen their institutional and human capacities to design and implement macroeconomic and financial policies that promote inclusive and sustainable growth. METAC provides technical assistance and capacity development to Afghanistan, Algeria, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank and Gaza and Yemen.
