Our Mission
Mission and Operations
The mission of METAC is to assist members in advancing public policies and institutions that enable inclusive and sustainbale growth, so that living standards improve for all citizens. METAC's proximity to its members offers several benefits, including: (a) decentralized and tailored delivery of technical assistance to the specific needs of its member countries; (b) enhanced country ownership and accountability; (c) quick and efficient response to technical assistance requests; (d) focused, subject-specific, and hands-on training for local officials; and (e) close coordination with other technical assistance providers in the region.
METAC key activities include:
- Modernize public financial management systems to promote transparent and sustainable public finances, and stronger fiscal institutions, to support efficient and effective use of public resources.
- Enhance financial regulation and supervision to promote the stability and development of financial markets.
- Improve domestic revenue through better tax systems that support economic efficiency and equity, voluntary compliance and trust between citizens and governments, and allow for much-needed social and infrastructure spending.
- Strengthen core institutions responsible for macroeconomic management, including ministries of finance, tax and customs administrations, central banks, statistics agencies, and financial sector supervisory agencies.
- Improve the depth and breadth of macroeconomic data, to enhance the policy dialogue between governments and citizens, and the quality of policymaking.
Governance and Funding
METAC is governed by a Steering Committee composed of representatives of member countries and development partners. The Committee reviews the Center’s annual reports, and endorses annual workplans and priorities. The Center is funded by bilateral and multilateral donors, member countries, and the IMF.

ان مهمة ميتاك مساعدة البلدان الأعضاء على تطوير السياسات والمؤسسات العامة بهدف تحقيق نموّ شامل ومستدام، وبالتالي تحسين مستويات المعيشة لجميع المواطنين. بفضل قربه من البلدان الأعضاء يمتلك ميتاك فوائد عدّة منها: أ) تقديم مساعدة فنية مصممة خصيصاً للحاجات المحدّدة في دوله الأعضاء وبطريقة لامركزية؛ ب) تحفيز الدول الأعضاء على امتلاك برامجها الإصلاحية والمساءلة؛ ج) تلبية طلبات المساعدة الفنية بصورة سريعة وأكثر فعالية؛ د) إقامة دورات تدريبية مركَّزة وعملية، وورش عمل تتمحور حول مواضيع محدّدة للمسؤولين المحليين؛ هـ) التنسيق بشكل وثيق مع مزوّدين آخرين بالمساعدة الفنية في المنطقة

تحديث أنظمة إدارة المالية العامة لتعزيز شفافية واستدامة المالية العامة و تقويت المؤسسات المالية لدعم الاستخدام الفعال والكفوء للموارد العام
النهوض بالتنظيمات والرقابة المالية لتعزيز استقرار وتطوير السوق المالية
تحسين الإيرادات المحلية من خلال أنظمة ضريبية أفضل تدعم الفعالية و الانصاف الاقتصادي والامتثال الطوعي والثقة بين المواطنين والحكومات وتتيح الإنفاق الملحّ في المجال الاجتماعي والبنى التحتية
تعزيز قدرة المؤسسات الأساسية المسؤولة عن إدارة الاقتصاد الكلي، بما في ذلك وزارات المالية والإدارات الضريبية والجمركية والبنوك المركزية ووكالات الإحصاء ووكالات الإشراف على القطاع المالي
تحسين عمق واتساع الإحصاءات الاقتصادية الكلية لتعزيز حوار السياسات بين الحكومات والمواطنين، وجودة صنع السياسات
الحوكمة والتمويل
لميتاك لجنة توجيهية تتألف من ممثلين من الدول الأعضاء التابعة للمركز و شركاء التنمية. تعمد اللجنة إلى مراجعة تقارير المركز السنوية وتوافق على خطط العمل والأولويات السنوية. المركز مموّل من الجهات المانحة الثنائية والمتعددة الأطراف، وبعض الدول الأعضاء المُختارة و صندوق النقد الدولي
